Shu Uemura * Takashi Murakami new cosmetic announced by Cosplayers

When you do Cosplay, which cosmetics do you use? I guess most of them use your daily cosmetics. When you need extra or special make-up, you buy them accordingly.

Shu Uemura which is a famous Japanese cosmetic brand and Takashi Murakami who is a contemporary Japanese artist have collaborated to produce cosmetics which is called ‘6 Heart Princess (6HP)’.

The theme of the 6HP is ‘Transformation’. The icon is illustrated by Pink and Black which means woman have 2 faces. Shu Uemura cosmetics try to express the theme by Anime and Cosplay which is from Japanese culture. The Christmas cosmetic box contains cleansing oil, make-up base, color cream, eyelash, jelly pencil, palet kit, mini hair brush and make-up box. The price of the item will be 1,470 – 27,300 JPY (15 – 278 USD).

Comic Market Summer 2013

Can you imagine 40 Celsius degree with 90% humidity? How can you survive such a bad weather? We did!! It was extremely hot and humid during Comic Market Summer 2013. In Japan over 1,500 people went to hospital by ambulance because of the hot weather. Even in the surreal weather, Cosplayers, visitors, photographers and exhibitors survived!! I took more pictures usually, but I could not go out because I would almost be burned by the strong sun. That was the legendary event.

World Cosplay Summit 2013 – Group pics

As I announced a few weeks ago, here are the pictures I took at World Cosplay Summit 2013 in Nagoya. The event size has been increasing since the event starts. It means cosplayers are increasing all over the world. I feel so happy to see many cosplayers especially from outside of Japan. They come to Japan purely to attend the event with 10-15 hours flights which should be hectic. At the same time they are so excited to join and show their cosplays to Japanese Cosplay fans!

Heroes of Cosplay

Comic Market Summer 2013 has finished. Finally I have got some time to sleep!!! To finish my products, Cosplay pictures, I reduced my sleeping time. It happens every time the event comes. I will need someone to help indeed.

Before I upload some Cosplay pics, I found an interesting articles which mentions about Cosplay shows in U.S.

I’m really interested in what’s going on, so I need to keep an eye on the official website ‘http://www.syfy.com/heroesofcosplay

The big difference between Cosplay in America and in Japan is US Cosplayers do cosplays for movies, games and US comics. Cosplayers who wear Japanese anime/manga costumes are not majority. On the other hand, Cosplayers in France I saw in some big events were Japanese anime/comic Cospalyers.
